Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle is the official home of Queen Elizabeth II. It is west of London on the River Thames the Conqueror began to build the castle in the 11th century and it is now one of the most famous royal palaces in Europe.


Stonehenge
Stonehenge is a circle of huge grey stones on Salisbury Plain in the west of England. It is one of the oldest prehistoric monuments in Europe. It was built between 2000BC and 4000BC. Many histories think that it was built as a temple to the sun.


Blackpool Tower
Blackpool Tower is a lively seaside in the north west of England. Blackpool Tower is famous. The tower is 518ft high and was built in 1894 as a rival to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It contains an aquarium, a zoo, a circus and a dance hall. In autumn, people travels miles to see the lights of the towers and the town at night.


Edinburgh Castle
Edinburgh Castle is in the centre of Edinburgh, in Scotland. It is built on top of a huge rock. The oldest part of the castle dates back to 1100. Inside the castle walls, there are many interesting things to see, including the crown jewels and the royals apartments. On a clear day there are wonderful views of the city.


Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon is a pretty market town on the River Avon. It is about 100km north-west of London and it is famous because it is the birthplace of William Shakespeare's (1564-1616). People come to Stratford to see Shakespeare's plays performed in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and to visit Shakespeare's birthplace, which is now a museum.
